Responsibilities in Job
As a Trainee Medical Coder at Omega HMS, your key responsibilities will include:
- Medical Coding: Assigning appropriate codes to patient diagnoses and treatments as per the coding systems.
- Reviewing Medical Records: Ensuring that all patient records are accurate and comprehensive for coding purposes.
- Collaborating with Healthcare Professionals: Working closely with doctors and other healthcare staff to ensure that the medical records are coded correctly.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Adhering to healthcare regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Training: Undergoing training at the Bangalore location to develop proficiency in the medical coding process and related tools
Qualification
Educational Background: A background in life sciences or paramedic studies.
Degree Requirements: Any degree in life sciences or paramedics is eligible to apply.
No Prior Certification Needed: This role is open to non-certified candidates.
